Recentemente Lotus cars ha festeggiato i 1.000 esemplari (in 3 anni) della Exige V6 S. Un buon traguardo, ottenuto nel corso di un anno positivo per la casa, dato che le vendite sono state sensibilmente superiori al 2013 e hanno superato le 2.000 unità.
E' stato inoltre annunciato l'imminente arrivo di un cambio automatico/sequenziale con comando a palette (che si affiancherà al manuale), simile a quello già utilizzato sulla Evora, ma probabilmente + veloce, dato che i primi test hanno dato un'accelerazione uguale al modello con cambio manuale (circa 4.5 secondi sullo 0-100).

It was at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show that Lotus first unveiled its current Exige S, and now, three years on, the British automaker has announced that it has just built the 1,000th example. It’s a significant milestone for a company that’s been through a lot these past few years, including having its CEO fired and a quarter of its staff let go............................
